POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: DELAYED RESPONSES. WRONG PRODUCT AVAILABILITY INFORMATION. Maybe it is due to COVID , but when the company promises item is available at a specific time period, it is a different story. I guess it was the the wrong information and false hopes.
I ordered a Fellow Atmos Vacuum Cannister on Oct 2. In the website then, it was stated product is available atthe "end of the month". End of October came, and Alt Brewing never followed up. Emailed them in question on November 10 coz it is quite a long time already right? I was promised in reply that item was ready and will be dispatched soon with tracking and delivery details in 24hrs. Six days later (3 business days), NO PROGRESS. Had to email them today... and only then I received the dispatch and delivery and tracking details. It is just frustrating especially if you don't get the write memo. Why did I bother ordering it from them? I normally had good experience with them. They were prompt and fast with processing orders. What happened????? They don't value loyalty after all. I live in Melbourne and thought they have a wide range of coffee products so I opted to stay with them for a while.... not until today. Thank you for your service and not again. Pls do urself a favor and find somewhere else to buy. Your local coffee shops may have some or somewhere that's nearer and more trustworthy.
I also remember one time I ordered a Bellman Espresso maker and milk steamer CX25P and the wrong product came!!! I was forgiving by then but another incident of mediocre service is enough to say they're not worth your time. Their marketing is very good btw, so dont get too enticed only to fall for bad service. They dont even make amends for it.

Despite claiming that orders are sent out same day it's taken a week and several follow up messages to be told that finally my item was being dispatched one week later.
I would not use them again.

Stellar Service & Quality Gear

I've just recently started out on my own home brewing journey - and to say I was initially lost and overwhelmed is an understatement!
AB's Live Chat service and stellar support answered all of my (many) questions and helped me pick the right equipment suited to my coffee preferences, budget & needs. I'm now one happy gal who loves using her Nanopresso & Timemore C2 grinder daily, and can't wait to take them on my next camping trip. I can't sing their praises higher!!

SHOP ELSEWHERE unless you like being hassled for reviews endlessly

Forget the item - it was delivered and it works – big deal. The trouble starts after the sale. These days EVERYBODY wants a review of "your recent purchase" and I rarely provide one because I have a life to get on with.
However I am making an exception for Alternative Brewing because they are a persistent PITA! After the fourth request I sent an email saying essentially "why don't you get the message that I am not going to review".
Of course I got a falling over themselves apology about blah blah and it won't happen again.
WELL IT DID HAPPEN AGAIN - JUST NOW, so here's your damn review: if you are considering a purchase from Alternative Brewing I suggest you try to find a vendor that won't hassle you as much after the sale. I have only two other words for Alternative Brewing - 2 words, 2 syllables, with 3 "F"s. Can you guess what they are?

very slow service, misleading website

Despite claiming that orders are sent out same day it's taken a week and several follow up messages to be told that finally my item was being dispatched one week later.
I would not use them again.

Shop elsewhere!

Purchased a $100+ Hario Skerton PRO Coffee Grinder. The container broke after 2 months. I was forced to buy a replacement for $26, or throw the grinder out!

Selective reviews...

It appears this company, or the one managing their reviews, only selects positive reviews for the website. This thereby gives a skewed representation of the relevant products.
Having been invited to review the products purchased, I did, leaving a comprehensive two star review. Twice. Never to appear on their site. Now, in retrospect, looking around the site, I can’t recall seeing any One or two star product reviews. Where are they?

Great Products + Excellent Customer Service

Purchased a Tiamo Cold Dripper on 5 Dec and it arrived on 11 Dec (pretty quick given covid!). Discovered a small broken piece so emailed Alternative Brewing on 11 Dec and the item arrived on 13 Dec! Express delivery!!! Which was super great because it was a birthday present for 13 Dec.
Have nothing but good stuff to say about them. The sales support team are very friendly and responsive and provide one of the best customer services I’ve experienced in a while.
And the products are very good quality. Super pleased.

Excellent customer service

Multiple time customer with AB. Great range of products at a reasonable price.
These guys aren't perfect - they're a very small team probably servicing hundreds of orders a day - and can't be everywhere at once.
I've had hiccups with a couple of my orders with AB - e.g. delivery delays (not AB's fault), stock issues, etc. - but once they've been let known, they are quick and show accountability.
To those who complain about the lack of follow-ups, please consider how small their team is - and show some initiative by reaching out to them before baselessly slandering them in an online forum on what are unusual circumstances. Takes two seconds out of your entire day.

The company took my money

The company took my money for an kinto pourover i ordered and after that, nothing from them. No tracking, the product never arrived and when i asked them they simply says we will ship it out and it has almost been 6 months.
The company is a fraud and should be seriously invesitgated by ACCC for theft and fraud behaiour

Using fastway as the courier has destroyed the whole shopping experience

Ordered 3 Kalita servers on 27 Aug and today 7 Sep, I am still waiting for the delivery. To be fair, the shop has dispatched the parcel soon enough. But choose Fastway as the courier is definitely destroying the whole experience. QLD ship to NSW takes more than 10 days. It is a joke. As long as this shop uses Fastway, I would NOT come back again and I will not recommend this to my friends at all. If Japan has resumed EMS shipping, I would have bought from Japanese shops at 1/3 of the price and it would have been delivered within 5 days. I want to support Australian shops, but this is simply too silly....
